Innovative Vibration Monitoring
to Inspection of Infrastructure
In order to assure the safety and reliability of large, capital-intensive assets, owners, and maintenance managers are searching for cost-effective, dependable inspection and monitoring solutions.
Civil infrastructures can be monitored using structural health monitoring (SHM) to ensure their integrity and safety, track damage, and estimate their performance decline.

Accelerometers are the most often used sensor in SHM. Accelerometers examine the vibrations in a structure to determine its health. The VibroVision sensor is one of the sensors that is ideal for vibration analysis.
The VibroVision sensor surveys structures using Moiré patterns. Moiré patterns form when a semi-transparent object with a repeated pattern is placed on top of another semi-transparent object. When one of the objects is moved slightly, large-scale alterations in the moiré patterns are visible. Moiré can be used to determine a variety of physical properties, including refractive index gradients, optical device resolution, surface smoothness, stress, vibration parameters, and liquids diffusion coefficients.
VibroVision was created for a number of reasons. To begin, it is quick and simple to install (plug and play) and does not require a continuous power source. Due to the portability and ease of installation of this technology, we can inspect the health of multiple bridges with a single system. Second, the other technologies require a dedicated location for the installation sensor, whereas VibroVision does not require a dedicated installation area. Thirdly, the Moiré approach has an unmatched resolution (growing magnitude of fluctuation) for identifying the fluctuation of structures. This approach requires only two gratings and a camera, making it extremely cost-effective. Additionally, it is non-contact and non-invasive, has a wide field of view, and emits no hazardous radiation.
VibroVision’s main features include:
Easy installation in minimum time (plug and play)
One system practical in many structures
Cost-effective (one tenth compared with other sensors)
No need to electrical power
High-accuracy measurement

Dams

Power Plants

Wind Turbines

Buildings

Bridges
About Us
Structural Health Monitoring (SHM) provides a useful tool for ensuring integrity and safety, detecting the evolution of damage, and estimating performance deterioration of civil infrastructures.
VibroVision is an SHM system and one of the best options to analyze the health of large-scale infrastructures like bridges, towers, dams, wind turbines, thermal power plants, etc. Only one VibroVision handheld system can be used in many structures due to the portable feature of the system. The main features of VibroVision are easy installation in minimum time, cost-effective, no need to electrical power, high-accuracy measurement.
